KENDRA'S WALK 2023 IS ON JUNE 1ST!

TEENS HELPING TEENS
Kendra’s Walk is an annual event that was created in 2009 by Kendra McBain. Kendra’s mission was to raise awareness and support other teens with cancer. Even after her passing in 2009, her legacy is continued through Kendra’s Walk and other fundraising initiatives. Kendra’s Walk is organized by teens, for teens. To date, Kendra’s Walk has raised over $1 million, with all proceeds going to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Approximately
will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and
1 in 4
will die from it.
Each year in Canada, more than
412 teens
are diagnosed with cancer, and unfortunately, about
74 teens
pass away from it.

"Cancer, however scary it may be, is nothing to be ashamed of, and the only way to get through it is with a smile on your face to keep fighting."

Kw postponed
We are more than excited to invite the community back to SJR to participate in the 15th annual Kendra's Walk!
Unfortunately, we have had to postpone Kendra's Walk 2023. More info will be coming as soon as possible on the exact date change.
However, we hope you will still join us on the day of the walk, at St. John's-Ravenscourt School, dressed in purple to help us raise awareness and funds for teens living with cancer!
